The support of our Partners is critical to the discovery of the tomorrow’s neurosurgical breakthroughs.

The Board of Directors of the NREF is grateful for the support of our Partner Organizations.

NeuroPoint Alliance

The NeuroPoint Alliance (NPA) was established in 2008 by the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) to collect, analyze and report on nationwide clinical data from neurosurgical practices using online technologies.

The NREF is proud to support NPA initiatives, such as QOD, which serves as a continuous national clinical registry for neurosurgical procedures and practice patterns. NPA research will ultimately give neurosurgeons at hospitals around the country innovative, state-of-the-art techniques in managing outcomes.

To support QOD, please visit our Donate page and select “QOD” from the Donation Options menu. Click here for more information on the NPA-NREF collaboration.

B*CURED was founded in 2008 by Melissa Salamé and Debbie Needle after each lost a parent to brain cancer. The organization’s primary goal is to help find a cure for brain cancer through research grants.

In 2016, B*CURED and NREF joined together to establish the B*CURED-NREF Research Grant for adult or pediatric brain tumor research to provide a $50,000 award to a junior or senior investigator.

Congratulations to Pablo Valdes Quevedo, MD, PhD, of Harvard/Brigham and Women’s Hospital as the 2017-2018 recipient of the B*CURED-NREF Research Fellowship Grant. Dr. Quevedo research study is titled “Expansion Microscopy for Interrogation of Cancer Mechanisms and Phenotypes in Gliomas.”

B*CURED and NREF are pleased to announce they have extended their partnership through the 2019-2020 academic year.

The NREF has created innovative new donation opportunities that have increased the reach of the foundation’s educational and research programs. Visit our Donate page to learn about the variety of donation options within the NREF.
