The American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and the Neurosurgery Research & Education Foundation (NREF) are pleased to announce the return of the resident course exchange with the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS).
Since 1970, the European Training Courses have traditionally provided neurosurgical education to residents through four-day courses that cover key topics. EANS courses provide learning opportunities through plenary lectures, breakout sessions and discussions groups ensuring a high participant to faculty ratio. The excellence of the courses and their scientific and social value is acknowledged throughout the neurosurgical community.
The first resident course exchange will take place January 27-31, 2024, in Edinburgh, Scotland. Selected applicants will join the cohort of EANS residents for this Tumor Course only. Additional courses in Vascular/Peripheral Nerve and Spine surgery will be offered in May and September. AANS residents who will be PGY 4 and above at the time of the course are invited to submit an application by October 1, 2023.
