Honor Your Mentor (HYM) Funds celebrate luminaries of neurosurgery, both past and present. When the NREF first established the HYM program in 2014, there were six funds and total pledges of $177,195 from 37 donors. Today, there are 54 active HYM funds with pledges totaling over $4.8 million from over 1,100 donors.
Most importantly, over $200,000 has been dispersed in support of groundbreaking neurosurgical research and educational opportunities.
The NREF proudly introduces these newly established funds:
The Michael T. Lawton Fund supports clinical and basic science research, training and education in cerebrovascular neurosurgery at the Barrow Neurological Institute.
The Edward H. Oldfield Fund supports innovative clinical and translational research performed by neurosurgical residents and fellows.
The NSA Neurosurgical Founders Fund supports education for the NSA Annual Meeting.
Training with the best leads to success, which benefits patients. Now you can show your gratitude through the NREF by honoring a mentor who helped you succeed.
