The 17th annual Neurosurgery Charity Softball Tournament, hosted by Columbia University, is planned for June 6, 2020, in New York City's Central Park. Proceeds benefit the Andrew T. Parsa Honor Your Mentor fund for brain tumor research.

A lecture series on sports-related trauma was launched by the Chuck Noll Foundation, during the 2019 AANS Annual Scientific Meeting in San Diego. The inaugural lecture featured Joseph C. Maroon, MD, FAANS(L) with his presentation, “Concussion and CTE — Personal Reflection and Perspective.”

This new sponsorship was initiated by Dr. Julian Bailes, MD, FAANS, and Dr. Maroon, members of the Chuck Noll Foundation’s National Science Advisory Committee. Dr. Bailes is also chairperson of the AANS/CNS Section on Neurotrauma and Critical Care, which hosts the new Chuck Noll Foundation lecture series.
